DE TWEE SNOEKEN

Overbetuwe Town Hall

The aim of the project is to create an hospitable and sustainable place for all the residents and civil servants of the municipality of Overbetuwe in The Netherlands. To enhance the bright and organic
atmosphere of the interiors have been chosen natural looking materials. Parts that are used intensively are made with Cleaf surfaces, other elements less affected by the presence of visitors are made of wood. In particular the conference table and the reception desk are made of Sablè LR80, the storage cabinet with Okobo S161. The combination of faced panels, laminates and wood creates unity and a natural atmosphere that provides serenity and balance in the house of the municipality.

Paulownia wood is used for the production of okobo, the traditional Japanese sandals worn by maiko, the apprentice geisha. The Okobo texture has an attractive appearance due to the regularity of the fiber.
